Irish Whiskey Cocktail: The Shamrock

Ten readers love this post.
This classic Prohibition Era cocktail gets it’s name not just for the green color but the Irish Whiskey that is the main component. At first I was incredibly hesitant to try this given that the very idea of creme de menth + olives + whiskey makes my taste buds cry in fear. However, it ended up being quite delicious and the salty olive was the perfect compliment to the end of the drink.
If you give this a try leave your review in the comments. I would love to read your take on it.
1.5oz Irish Whiskey
.5oz Dry Vrmouth
1 tsp Green Creme de Menthe
Stir with ice
Strain and garnish with an olive
