If you’re a SaloonBox subscriber, your March kit features our Rosemary Whiskey Sour recipe, using Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye Whiskey, rosemary syrup and egg white. According to Jack Daniel’s, this is the first new Jack recipe in over 150 years. It adds a hint of spice to our delicious whiskey sour recipe (see recipe below) and to Jack Daniel’s own Rye Ball recipe (below). Cheers!

ROSEMARY WHISKEY SOUR

Ingredients (for 2)
3.0 oz. rye whiskey
2.0 oz. lemon rosemary syrup
1 egg white (optional)

Directions
Add rye whiskey, lemon rosemary syrup and egg white to your shaker tin. Fill your shaker with ice until it is 2/3 full. Close the lid and shake as hard as you can for 20 seconds. You want to make sure the egg white gets fully combined into the other ingredients in order to develop a delicious meringue-like froth. The egg white also slightly alters the consistency of your cocktail. Open your shaker and strain into two rocks glasses. Since the mixture is frothy from all that shaking, it may take a take longer than usual to strain.

RYE BALL

Ingredients (for 2)
3 ouncesJack Daniel's® Tennessee Rye
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce simple syrup
4 ounces Peychaud's® Bitters
