I have written about the amazing stuff going on in San Antonio, thanks to great bars like the Esquire Tavern, the Brooklynite, and the SoHo. There are now tons of good cocktail bars in the little town, and I have only been to a few of them.

Well, that’s about to change.

Starting next Thursday, January 15, is the San Antonio Cocktail Conference, listed as one of the best cocktail festivals in the country.

And I am going to be there.

Now, you may be saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, but San Antonio isn’t New York or New Orleans. The conference is going to be lame.”

I’m sorry, pal, but you’re wrong. We’re talking world class here. Check out the list of classes and other events and you will see what I mean. Imbibe Magazine is running a bunch of classes, and just about every liquor company will be there with some event.

So stay tuned for tweets and posts all about San Antonio cocktails starting next week. Hell, if you’re in town, get a few tickets. Let the good times roll.
