INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 oz. Tequila Resposado
1/2 oz. Ginger Liqueur
2 oz. Lime Juice
1 1/2 oz. Agave Nectar
1 Pinch of Cilantro
4 Cooked Beets (in small cubes)
2 Dashes of Habanero Bitters
GARNISH
Dill-Salt Rim
PREPARATION:
Hola amigos! Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner. Grab a piñata and your closest friends, because it's time to party!
I know you are about to eat some spicy food and nothing goes better with spicy Mexican food than an ice cold drink to cool your palate. So here you go!
In a mixing glass place the cooked red beets, cilantro, limes and Agave syrup and muddle until your beets are into a puree form. Now add all the other ingredients. Before you start shaking make sure to have your glasses ready to go, rim them with some salt and dill and if you feel crafty make a special rose just like in the picture. Add a scoop of ice in the shaker and shake for 5 fast seconds.
Now double strain and serve your drink on the rocks and party like you mean it!
The color is sexy bright pink with red notes, the perfumes are lead by the strong cilantro scent and the taste is fun... very earthy and refreshing. Its a great sipping concoction to pair with some guacamole, chips and tacos!
