Allo tout le monde!!!! :) Oui, Je parle français maintenant!

I know it has been a while since I posted the last time.... actually more than 8 months ago... but it does not mean that I have been apart of the cocktail world ...no sir no!

It is almost 1 year since I arrived to Montréal... and the experiences.... ooouf

... and many of them include stories about the bartending scene here in QC and how much sophisticated are the cocktails and drinks offers.... so get ready because ill start posting really neat things!

And well, I do not remember if Ive mentioned before that i love creating cocktails for bday people!... well, for those people that i know.... :0) [And also for the newly weds (when i work for wedding receptions)]

It happened that last july was the bday of one of the best bartenders in MTL (but he is French, oh yeah!).. and I dared to create a cocktail recipe for his bday.... so i just headed off to La Champagnerie to wish Happy Bday and to test the drink!

The result: it seems that it was: "damn good" ... at least that what Max said... and for the 2nd round we invited Antoine (bartender @LaChampagnerie as well) to join us...

So I invite you all to try this shooter, because... it is a shooter sized drink, to make it in a cocktail format you just need to change the glass and the quantities....

HERE IT GOES!!!

Name: Le Sniper

[If you guys want to know why I named it like that, you should ask me!)

Glass: Shooter

Method: chilled and shaken

Ingredients (for one shooter 2oz ish):

* 1 oz tequila

* 1/2 grand marnier

* Splash simple syrup (mini splash actually)

* Splash of bloody orange juice (this can be prepared by yourself... do the variations that you want, but this is what was available at the bar and it worked so well!)

* 2 dashes of amers d'orange (orange bitters)

Preparation:

Add ice in the shaker, add all the ingredients (no particular order as i remember, probably the liquors at the end)

and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE ---> POUR!

Voil ! C'est prêt! bonne dégustation!
