Who says romance at the bar is only for Valentine's Day? I have researched some of the best and worst chat up lines out there (in my humbled opinion)

Excuse me, is this seat taken? Inoffensive (unless she is having a really bad day and greets your polite request with a sarcastic response) "Yeah can't you see them?" Either way you have cracked the ice.

Do you come here often? - swiftly followed with I could use your opinion on something. She goes from groaning initially thinking he's obviously chatting me up AND using a really old chat up line, to then wondering if you did just need an opinion. She may then wonder, why isn't he chatting me up? What’s wrong with me?

Don't you find this place....Try and second guess what she is thinking. If she is sitting looking bored out of her brains, don't say exciting - unless you are being sarcastic and want to whisk her away somewhere else.

Wow, I really love what you are wearing. What is that? I would blush instantly and say thank you. Inwardly, no matter what the guy looked like I would be doing a happy dance. Not sure about the what is that line is needed?

NEVER under any circumstances use these lines:

If you were a booger I'd pick you first (being likened to snot is not a compliment) My love for you is like diarrhea, I just can't hold it in (as above, creates a horrid mental image and vulgar) Did you fart, because you blew me away (farts can be funny but too crude to use on a lady you want to get to know) Is your dad a terrorist? Because you are the bomb (inappropriate) Let's make like a fabric softener and 'Snuggle (pathetic) This isn't a beer belly, it's a fuel tank for a love machine (turn off) Come live in my heart, and pay no rent. (pathetic) You should be someone's wife. (creepy)

If all else fails enjoy the conversation from the bartender and learn to love your own company.
