Classic Gin Cocktails: Pink Lady, Gin Daisy, Gin and Bitters, Gin and Cola, Tom Collins, Bronx

Fleischmann’s Mixer’s Manual, 1959

This adorably kitschy recipe card comes from Fleischmann’s Gin, which is said to have produced America’s first gin.

The distillery opened in Ohio in 1870, and operated for decades. From the proliferation of mid-century advertising that appears in web searches, I’d say that must have been the brand’s heyday. Today, you can still find Fleischmann’s in stores, but (after changing hands several times) it’s now a bottom-shelf pick. In any case, the recipes here are solid, so enjoy!
