PREPARATION:

In a bowl, toss the strawberries with the sugar and let it stand, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries release their juices, about 10 minutes. In a blender, combine half each of the strawberries and their juices, the vodka and lime juice with 1 cup of ice and puree. Pour into a pitcher. Repeat with the remaining strawberries and juices, vodka and lime juice and 1 more cup of ice. Fill 10 collins glasses halfway with ice. Pour the cocktail into the glasses, top each with about 1/2 tablespoon of Riesling and serve.

For the garnish take small to medium size strawberries, wash them and place them aside. Melt 3 oz. of white chocolate and dip each strawberry 2/3 of the way and set aside to dry. Melt another 3 oz. of white chocolate and add blue food coloring until you reach the desired hue. Now double dip the strawberries 1/3 of the way and set aside to dry. Your garnish is ready!

The color is a gorgeous vivid red and the nose picks up first the fruitiness of the strawberries and the sweetness of the wine. The taste is reminiscent of a light white tropical sangria.. this is the perfect Labor Day cocktail to enjoy with friends and family as you toast to the end of summertime.
