Zero readers love this post.
My days and nights are filled with wine lunches, tastings and dinners. And one of the biggest challenges is limiting how much is consumed if I am driving home. But this week, I went to lunch on a beautiful, crisp, clear day at the Malibu Beach Inn and spent three hours sipping Seedlip cocktails. And, in the end, I got in my car and drove home. Why? Because all of my cocktails were non-alcoholic! It was such a treat to sip cocktails all day and yet not experience the effects of the alcohol, among other benefits, and that is why Seedlip Cocktails are the Please The Palate pick of the week.
Seedlip Distilled Non-Alcoholic Spirits are the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits. Made from herbs and botanicals, it is a truly nonalcoholic spirit, as well as sugar-free, allergen-free, sweetener-free and has no artificial flavoring. And Seedlip has no calories or carbs.
The herbs and botanicals are macerated in neutral grain spirits and water and then distilled, each ingredient separately, twice in a copper pot. All the alcohol is removed before bottled and the result is concentrated flavors.
There are three flavors – Seedlip Garden 108 is made with hand-picked peas, homegrown hay, hops, rosemary, thyme and spearmint; Seedlip Spice 94 is made with allspice, cardamom, grapefruit peel, lemon peel, American oak bark and cascarilla; Seedlip Grove is made with mandarin, bitter and blood orange peels, ginger, lemongrass and sancho peppercorn.
With each of the flavors, you can make so many different refreshing and very tasty cocktails, such as the ones that Malibu Beach Inn Bar Manager Josh Curtis made for us:
No Groni (Seedlip Garden 108, Nnn-Alcoholic Vermouth, Non-Alcoholic Bitter Aperitif)
Seedlip Sour (Seedlip Garden 108, Simple Syrup, Fresh Lime Juice)
No Booze Cruise (Seedlip Spice 94, Falernum #9, Passion Fruit, Hibiscus, Grapefruit)
Caprese Mojito (Seedlip Garden 108, Seltzer, Lime, Basil)
Trip The Light Fandango (Seedlip Grove 42, Ginger, Apple)
How Soon Is Now (Seedlip Garden 108, Blackberry Fassionola Shrub, Cinnamon, Orange, Lime)
Whether you are not able to drink or are trying not to drink, Seedlip Cocktails will satisfy. Refreshing, light and tasty, and with absolutely no guilt, you will understand why Seedlip Cocktails are the Please The Palate pick of the week.
