INGREDIENTS:
1/2 oz. Aperol
1/2 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
1/2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. POM HULA
Top it off with Chilled Prosecco
GARNISH:
Dry Pineapple Wheels
Fresh Pomegranate Seeds
PREPARATION:
In a mixing glass add all of the ingredients except for the Prosecco. Pour your mixture into a shaker and add ice. Now shake for 5 fast seconds. Double strain and pour into a clean mixing glass and then add the prosecco slowly. Make sure you add the prosecco last because as soon as the sparkling wine touches the other ingredients like the citrus it will start foaming. That is the reason why you should never prepare sparkling cocktails straight in the glass.
The color is deep burgundy red and the scent is citrus mingling with floral notes. This is a perfect pre dinner drink to serve before any special meal. The tartness of the grapefruit balanced by the elderflower liqueur and the tropical delicious flavor of the Pom Hula pair magically with the sparkling wine.... another Homerun at home!
