A salad and a drink, both in one glass?

This is what happens when I am lazy and tired. The warm tropical climate of India is such that you never need to think twice before you have a cooler. And what inspired me to make this is my aunt's home grown fresh cucumber. I had picked too many from the farm, not knowing what to do next and thus this drink.

Ingredients:

Fresh cucumber- 100 g (1/4 pound)

Fresh lime/ lemon juice- 1/4 oz

Vodka- 2 oz

Mint leaves- 3 to 4 leaves

Rock salt- a pinch to taste

Cheddar cheese- to garnish, cut into a small round

Ice

Procedure:

1) Peel, de-seed the cucumber and take 1/4 pound of the roughly cut pieces

2) Blend the cucumber, lime and mint leaves with ice

3) In a shaker, shake the blended mixture with Vodka.

(PS- I have always tasted a bitter cocktail when blending Vodka with cucumber, hence the shaking process)

4) Season with rock salt

5) Transfer contents from the shaker to a cocktail glass

6) Garnish with a slice of cucumber and the cheese circle
