About
This cocktail was developed for (and won) the 2013 Omaha Market Bombay Sapphire-GQ Most Inspired Bartender competition. I always start with the botanicals of the base spirit. Cubeb pepper is one of the botanicals of Bombay Sapphire, and also has a global, historical association with exorcism. Catholic priests trained in exorcism use cubeb incense. This inspired me to create a drink that demonstrates the complexity of Bombay Sapphire with a great metaphorical presentation. FYI: Green Chartreuse is crafted by the Carthusians, a Catholic order of monks. Cheers!
