An old fashioned at its basics is a base spirit( usually bourbon) a sweetener, and a seasoning (usually in the form of bitters). Why not switch up the base spirit with something non traditional and local? This particular recipe highlights the floral qualities of the gin, and uses the elderflower as the sweetener. The three different citrus add the brightness nessacery to cut through all of the floral and sweet qualities.

2oz Builders Gin by restless spirts distillery Kansas City.

.5 oz st. Germain elderflower liqueur

3 dashes fee brothers grapefruit bitters.

Stir all ingredients on ice. Pour over large cube, twist and drop a orange peel and lemon peel
