Rickey’s the name

The plans were made and had been in motion for some time. I sat there watching the clock, the last few minutes inching by like molasses in an igloo. The anticipation was building within me. I wanted to get out and get ready. Ready for what you may ask? The Rickey that’s what! Not only that, but also to try my first Rye whiskey. Class was dismissed. I packed up and without hesitation went straight to the nearest liquor store. What to choose? What to choose? There were so many options, but after asking the cashier, who honestly at this point should know me by name, for some suggestions I settled on a spirit, got the other ingredients and all but sprinted my way home. One sip and it had me. Smooth, a little sweet, and a little sour like lemonade. I looked into that frosted glass and the glass looked into me as I discovered a brand new favorite. I can’t wait to make these during the summer. Props to the good friend who too the pic. Thanks!
