I participate in a few fun social media things, one if which is being a contributor to Smirnoff’s Hub, which is a pretty cool invitation only site for bloggers. It works out really well because I can contribute information and also find quality content that I know Eat. Drink & be Skinny and also SkinnyTini fans will appreciate. A while back I created the Cronut Inspired SkinnyTini, because I was fascinated by the stories coming out of NYC and how trends and fads can come on so quickly and create such a frenzy and these days, in a manner of minutes.

I created the recipe and the post, because really, who doesn’t love butter and sugar? Especially when you can call it something skinny! I shared it with Smirnoff Hub because of course, I used their tasty vanilla vodka and they liked it! So much that they featured it on their FaceBook page, which has nearly 9.9M fans! Quite a larger audience than my 500+ SkinnyTini likes! Woot! It looks like their fans liked it too, the photo and post got over 1100 likes and 129 shares. That is so fun! I’ve been using Smirnoff vodkas for my flavored vodka since 2009, so I am really appreciating the support and recognition from such a large brand.

Cronut Martini Smirnoff Vodka

My Cronut SkinnyTini on Smirnoff’s FB Page — WOOT!

So on the heals of this excitement, I’m re-sharing the Cronut Inspired SkinnyTini. The recipe is below, and you can see the original post here. What’s next? I believe they will be featuring the vodka version of my Lean Green SkinnyTini Machine sometime next week!

Cheers!

Cronut Inspired SkinnyTini

  • 2 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 1/4 tsp Imitation Butter Flavor
  • 3 oz Diet Ginger Ale
  • 1 T Powder Sugar
  • Tiny bit of water

Calories: 142 per 5 oz SkinnyTini

Directions: Add vodka and imitation butter flavor to a cocktail shaker with ice for 5-10 seconds to chill the ingredients. Prepare the glass by adding the powdered sugar to a shallow dish. Add a tiny bit of water to turn it into a paste. Rim just a portion of the glass, this is not low calorie sugar, but it adds such great dimension and aesthetics to the SkinnyTini that I think allows it to be associated with the official cronut! Strain the cocktail shaker contents into the glass, top with diet ginger ale and serve!

Enjoy!
