Smooth as silk: Between the Sheets

It’s been a while since I’ve had a new drink. So I dug around on the internet and in some of my cocktail books and found a recipe that put a smirk on my face. I got to admit, the sexy name caught my attention and my choice to make the “ Between the Sheets” was a damn good one. A smooth and sweet combination that will definitely take you there. The light rum and the brandy play very nice together, while the orange liqueur adds to the melody of flavors that makes this drink hit the spot. Especially if you’re looking for something that is spirits forward, but with a good balance. And as I was sipping I was transported to a dimly lit bar in the back of a night club at the special reserved table enjoying the company of close friends and card games. I sat calmly at the head of the table not taking part, but feeling the atmosphere as I drew pleasure from the smiles of my companions. The hostess walked over and asked if I’d like another drink and I came to realizing that my glass was empty. I added a tad too much orange liqueur for my taste, but all in all still a wonderful drink to end the night with. Here’s how I made mine, and I hope it can take you on a ride like it did me.
- 1oz Bacardi Silver
- 1oz E and J Brandy (they say use Cognac, but I use what I have)
- 1oz Triple sec
- .25 oz Lemon Juice
