I have been looking for an elegant seasonal drink that I could serve at a party this weekend.I wanted a drink that was easy to assemble but also represented what was seasonal.I walked into the market the other day and found some beautiful white currants.I knew at first sight that I had to purchase them to use in a cocktail! They look sweet but they are really sour so I knew I needed to pair them with something that would balance the sour. After glancing at my bar I knew I had to use St-Germain to elevate this beautiful fruit.St-Germain is something that everyone should have in their bar because it is so versatile.I use it simply to add a kick to champagne, cave or prosecco. It will turn your ordinary gin and tonic or glass of champagne into something exotic, sensual, and flowery. This drink is no exception and the St-Germain actually showcases the currants instead over overpowering the sparkler.I would suggest using a dry sparking so that the flavors from the St-Germain and currants can shine. For my party this weekend I will be assembling the St-Germain, lemon juice, and currants beforehand and then topping off each glass with sparkling right before the guest arrive. Are you looking for a fresh, fragrant, and seasonal drink for your next party or night at home?If so, make this easy St-Germain and Currant Sparkler!
