Any plans for Derby Day? If you're in Los Angeles, you can pay a visit to the Salt's Cure and order the Stone Fence Julep. The drink is a creation of the bar manager Daniel Zacharczuk who adapted it from a Jerry Thomas recipe.

Ingredients:
2.5 oz Dry/Brut Cider
0.75 oz Bourbon
0.25oz Maple Syrup

Directions:
Build all ingredients into julep tin or glass, add and pack crushed or shaved ice, briefly stir ice, pack more crushed or shaved ice on top. Garnish with lavish mint sprigs (6-8) and powdered sugar dusted over top. Serve with long straw.
