Seems it's just about tea time.

Tea Break.

I know it’s not summer yet, but I see it creep in' around the corner. And I’m going to be honest here, I’m not ready. And more importantly, I don’t want to be ready. I still want to enjoy my boot life. I love my boot life. It’s so easy and reliable. Now I look at what I got, and it’s all coming back to me. All that “I’ll let future Bex worry about getting new sandals and shorts and blah, blah, blah.” Damn you past Bex. Now the sun is gonna be beating down on me and I got nothin’.

Ha. You’re right.

That is a total lie.

I have booze.

Ah, booze. You crowd pleaser, you.

So with the liquid culture as my savior, I give you, "Tea Break." Somewhat of a porch pounder kind of a cocktail. This ice-tea drank is looking for an exuberant crowd in need of somethin' thirst-quenching. With another swing from my favorite silver cachaca, Novo Fogo, and tastes of sweet lemon green tea and Drambuie, you can't be all that mad at the heat for wanting to hang.

Let's concoct:

  • 2 oz. Novo Fogo Silver Cachaca
  • 1/2 oz. Dambuie
  • 1 1/2 oz. Green Tea
  • 1/2 oz. Lemon
  • 1/4 oz. Agave
  • Club Soda

*Muddle lemons. Add remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into a Collin's glass with fresh cubed ice. Top with club soda and garnish with lemon peel.
