Tea-quila

It seems now, as we look out our windows we're starting to see the world brighten a little bit more. That sunshine seems to be staying around a little bit longer, our pasty white legs are coming out from hiding, and we're starting to shake off that winter coat from holiday meals. And though the weather may be warming up, it seems that our bodies feel the need to as well...but not in the way we'd like. I mean, it's great if it's lovely outside, not that great if you feel like shit and have isolated yourself in the corners of your room thinking about how you have so much more to live for.

So, in the great words of Fix-It-Felix, I shall also proclaim, "I can fix it." You're just going to have to play along with the belief that alcohol can solve all problems. And again, accept my concept that tequila can be a good thing. So if you’re cold, have a cold, or feel like you’re getting a cold—let some tequila make it all better. From the kind-hearted soul of Bar De Bex, I have for you "Tea-quila", a hot tea-like splendor of tequila, ginger-honey, and peaches. Hopefully warm your heart how it needs to and clear your mind. Try on this peach sweater for size. Then jump back in the game. Don't let them kids steal all that sunshine.

Cleansing, toasty, and awakening.

Now once more with feeling...

Tequila is here to save the day.

Let's concoct:

  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 0.75 oz Tippleman's Ginger Honey Syrup
  • 0.5 Small White Peach
  • 2 Dashes of Rose Water
  • Boiling Water
* Rinse a mug or heatproof glass with boiling water to warm it. Add peach slices and muddle with 1 oz of boiling water. Add and stir tequila, syrup and rose water. Finish by adding and stirring another 1 oz of boiling water to bring the heat back up. Garnish with dried white peach slice.
