The Drink that Satisfies

After a long day at work, a Rusty Nail is the perfect pick-me-up. If you’re feeling worn down, this drink works to remove that rust and polish you off so you’re as good as new.

This classic cocktail is made mixing nine parts scotch whiskey and five parts Drambuie, and is served in a rocks glass and garnished with a lemon twist. People sometimes reduce the amount of Drambuie on account of its sweetness. Drambuie is a Scotch based honey liquor. The name derives from the Scottish Gaelic phrase “am dram buidheach” which means “the drink that satisfies."

And satisfy it did. We all agreed that the sugar and alcohol mixed well to refresh us after a busy day.

9 parts scotch whiskey

5 parts Drambuie

Garnish with a lemon peel
