This boozy cuke has crisp, clean flavor with a fizzy kick. It’s a thirst-quenching cocktail that will leave you dreaming of warm days and porch swings.
The green from the muddled cucumber gives this cocktail a nice punch of color. Garnish with a shamrock, toss in a slice of cucumber, and you’re done! This is a great alternative to the green beer, Midori and Creme De Menthe we usually see on St. Patrick’s Day. Although crafty, these drinks tend to be on every party menu; it’s time to shake things up with a little Drunken Cucumber!
The Drunken Cucumber
1 to 1 1/2 oz. bourbon
1 oz. simple syrup
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/4 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and diced
ginger ale
In a pint glass muddle simple syrup and cucumbers. Add the lemon juice and bourbon and shake or roll the drink. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with a cucumber wheel.
Give it a lash lads; you’ll be singing Danny Boy in no time.
