People have different ideas for what constitutes a seasonal flavor. Apples, pumpkin, oil (as in, what your latkes are drenched in), are some winter time go-to's. Those are all good by me, but sometimes after a hearty meal something refreshing is order. Cue Berentzen Icemint Schnapps.

First off, I love the word Schnapps, don't you? In another life, that was my nickname, Schnapps Kellerman.

Getting back on point, Berentzen Icemint Schnapps is a mouthful of peppermint. It's sweet and incredibly textured; my mouth gummed up upon the finish. At 50 ABV, this is no frosty wimp. Serve it chilled as an after dinner palate cleanser, or do what I did: mix it with a chocolate liqueur.

Brrr. So easy, yet so satisfying. If only Chrismakkuh shopping were so easy. If you're thinking of getting me a present, make sure it rhymes with "risky."

Cheers,

Lizzie.
