The Garden Mary

The “farm to table” movement has grown leaps and bounds over the past 5  years.  Not only are these creations seen in homes and restaurants, but  also they are emerging full force in the bar and spirits world.   Mixologists and bartenders are going back to the basics.  Classic  cocktails are either being mixed using the original recipe or they are  being tweaked ever so slightly with a respectful nod to the original.   The Garden Mary is a prime example  that uses American Harvest Vodka, an organic vodka from Idaho, and  numerous products grown and preserved right here at Blackberry Farm.
 The Garden Mary cocktail is infused with fresh herbs from the garden to  give the vodka an earthy and herbal flavor.  When this is combined with  Blackberry’s amazing Bloody Mary mix, sliced radishes and pickled okra,  it creates a perfect way to begin the day here on the farm.
 Garden Mary
 1.5 ounces Garden Infused Organic Vodka
 2 Dashes of Fee Bros. Whiskey Barrel Aged Bitters
 Bloody Mary mix
 Sliced Radish
 Pickled Okra cut in half
 Celery stalk w/ fresh thyme
 In a mason jar filled with ice, fill it half way with the Bloody Mary  mix.  Add the vodka and radish.  Fill the rest of the way with Bloody  Mary mix.  Add the dashes of bitters and then stir to mix.  Garnish  with a celery stalk, fresh thyme and pickled okra cut in half.
