The “farm to table” movement has grown leaps and bounds over the past 5 years. Not only are these creations seen in homes and restaurants, but also they are emerging full force in the bar and spirits world. Mixologists and bartenders are going back to the basics. Classic cocktails are either being mixed using the original recipe or they are being tweaked ever so slightly with a respectful nod to the original. The Garden Mary is a prime example that uses American Harvest Vodka, an organic vodka from Idaho, and numerous products grown and preserved right here at Blackberry Farm.
The Garden Mary cocktail is infused with fresh herbs from the garden to give the vodka an earthy and herbal flavor. When this is combined with Blackberry’s amazing Bloody Mary mix, sliced radishes and pickled okra, it creates a perfect way to begin the day here on the farm.
