The Flying Dutchman is a legendary ghost ship that can never make port and is doomed to sail the seas forever. I imagine being part of that crew can get a bit boring so I thought I would invent a cocktail for them to have some fun!

Paring a Dutch rum with classic flavors of a sweet vermouth and maraschino plus a little something something to help fight of the scurvy. The result is an upgraded daiquiri with more depth and character.

The Ghost Ship

50ml Flying Dutchman No1 Rum
30ml Sweet Vermouth
10ml Maraschino syrup
10ml Oleo Saccharum
20ml Lime juice

Shake all ingredients, strain into a tumbler with fresh ice, garnish with maraschino cherries and a dried limewheel. Sip it good
