I was at Southern Wine and Spirits trade show several months ago when I came upon New York Distilling Company's Mr. Katz's Rock & Rye. I loved it! I thought this would be a perfect base for a cocktail. I knew that Manhattan and Old Fashioned drinkers would love it and I also love the fact that it's from New York. It took me several months to come up with the right combination of spirits. I finally came up with my cocktail The Katz Meow. I use Mr. Katz's Rock and Rye, Cointreau Liqueur De Camomille which blends perfectly and ads some floral component without being overpowering, some fresh lemon, and Fee Brothers Cardamom Boker's Style bitters to add just a bit of spice.It's really delicious.
