The Macallan Edition No. 1 is the debut whisky in the Edition Series, new non aged statement blended aged whisky.
Name: The Macallan Edition No 1 Highland Single Malt Whisky
Region: Highland, Scotland
ABV: 48%
Nose: Citrus, Honeydew, Melon, Spicy, and hints of fruit
Palate: Woody, Honey and some oakiness, not too much just a dried down version you smell in the alps. There's also a tad of dark chocolate, not sherry like, but a nice bitter to spicy tingling on the tongue.
Finish: Medium to Long finish, with spicy cinnamon and nutmeg shinning through
Score: 90
Usually not a big fan of Macallan aged whisky, however, this is affordable and pretty darn tasty. Added one to my personal collection before the price goes up. Around $90-$100.
