Our Picks for Where to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

This weekend, there’s a lot happening: Saturday is the Kentucky Derby, and here in New York we celebrate Cinco De Mayo on the 3rd, 4th AND 5th of May. Not to worry, we’ve simplified it for you with the best places to listen to mariachi bands, sip tequila, and enjoy tacos.

UWS and West Village favorite, Ditch Plains will be getting into the spirit of Cinco De Mayo by offering specials on their Spring Rosé Sangria (pictured) made with Grenache Rosé, Spring Citrus and Strawberry along with Green Chilaquiles topped with a sunny side up egg with grilled chicken or marinated pork. If you make it to the Upper West Side location for dinner, don't miss the Lamb Barboca, a slow steamed lamb in banana leaf served family-style being served specially for the holiday. Casa Mezcal Celebrates Cinco De Mayo with a party that lasts all weekend long. Enjoy $5 Beers, $5 Shots, $5 Margaritas, DJs, shot girls and more from Friday through Sunday.
