Check out this week's Booze Bulletin for upcoming events, new openings, hot happy hours, boozy brunches, holiday pop-us and more:

  • Birds & Bubbles: Sarah Simmons’ southern inspired LES joint is launching brunch and late night menus starting this week. Late night will focus on snacks (think creole chips & green chile queso, pulled pork sandwiches, boudin balls with pickled okra remoulade, and chicken of course). Where as the brunch menu goes more in depth with eggs, baked goods, sweet and savory dishes.
    The late night menu launched Thursday December 4th, at 11pm and weekend brunch launches this Saturday, December 6th at 10am.
  • Bouley & Brushstroke: Fine dining chef David Bouley’s eponymous TriBeCa restaurants, Bouley and Brushstroke (Japanese kaiseki restaurant), are giving diners a special gift this holiday season: SUNDAY DINNER! Both restaurants will be open for lunch and dinner every Sunday throughout December. Additionally, Bouley has curated an ambitious new cocktail program, featuring drinks with cachaça, twice-barreled Bourbon, Normandy-produced apple brandy, Trinidadian rum and more.
  • Emily: As we mentioned last month, high-quality pizza joining forces with well-crafted cocktails! Emily in Clinton Hill proves this is a lasting trend! Order up a pie (or 3) and wash it all down with a the seasonal warming Spiked Chai.
  • Grand Central Oyster Bar: Beginning this month, the Grand Central Oyster Bar in Park Slope is launching complimentary wine tastings each Wednesday and Thursday fom 6-8pm. Additionally, bottles from the selected winemaker of the night will then be offered at half price in the dining room for the rest of the evening.
  • The Happiest Hour: Acme’s Jon Neidich and veteran New York bartender Jim Kearns, formerly of the NoMad Hotel and Pegu Club just opened this new whimsical cocktail bar in the West Village. Pair The Happiest Burger with (2 beef patties!) with any of the made-to-order cocktails using your choice of spirit.
  • Miracle On 9th Street: Greg Boehm of Boilermaker and Zach Sharaga of soon-to-open Mace (formerly Louis 649) have opened the doors to a holiday pop-up bar in the space for the next month. From now until December 23rd you can get holiday-inspired concoctions like a Christmas Tree Gimlet (Gin, pine needle cordial) while sitting amongst ornaments and snacking on Santa's cookies.
