The BACARDÍ Family Dinner was held at the Marigny Opera House on Thursday evening during Tales of the Cocktail.
The elegant dinner, which is now an annual tradition at Tales of the Cocktail, sees BACARDÍ bring its global bar family together to dine and celebrate under the banner ‘A Family that Dines Together, Stays Together.’
The dinner represents the great significance the company places on honoring and investing in the bartenders and industry professionals that drive the drinks industry. Top bartenders Steve Schneider (Employees Only, New York), Fred Siggins (Black Pearl, Melbourne), Zdenek Kastenek (28 Hong Kong Street, Singapore) and Franck Dedieu (BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition 2015 winner, from Redwood, Lyon) offered a truly international service from two bars, with Dedieu’s winning ‘Legacy’ cocktail ‘Le Latin’ served alongside other classic BACARDÍ cocktails.
The evening was hosted by BACARDÍ Global Brand Ambassador Dickie Cullimore, who took the opportunity to welcome nine of the newest members of the ‘family’ who competed in 2015’s BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition, reunited for the first time since they met in Sydney earlier this year. The event also marked the beginning of preparations to bring the BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition to the US, where the global final will take place in San Francisco in April 2016.
