In 2008, former Cabo Wabo president Barry Augus and esteemed restaurateur Eric Rubin decided to create what was missing in the premium tequila market, the perfect Margarita.
Being that the Margarita is the worlds #1 cocktail, but no single tequila company is concentrating on perfecting the perfect tequila for this legendary recipe, as well as 100% agave nectar and Margarita mix. Well this is what the two men set out to do, and what they came up with is Tres Agaves 100% organic tequila and the mixers to go with it to create the perfect mix for anyone to make the most delicious margarita they have ever had.
In January 2010, the first bottle of Tres Agaves Tequila was shipped out. Since then, the company has won a collection of awards including 3 out of 4 of the coveted Chairman's Trophies at the inaugural Ultimate Beverage Challenge. Not only did their tequilas win awards but their cocktail-ready agave nectar and margarita mix both received gold awards by the Beverage Tasting Institute.
