Tropical Flavored Vodkas From New Amsterdam Shine in Summer Cocktails

Three readers love this post.
New Amsterdam may make a crisp, clean, botanical gin and one of the smoothest premium vodkas you've ever shaken into your martini, but they also make a fine line of flavored vodkas as well. And two of those flavors, Citron and Coconut, are just begging to shine at your next pool party, beach jam or barbecue.
Citron tastes like you just added a squeeze of fresh Meyer lemon, while Coconut is filled with the flavor of toasted coconut with a hint of other tropical flavors. Both provide an added dimension to your usual summer favorite—you can keep it simple (I just mixed the Coconut with pineapple juice for a quick, delicious twist on a colada), or you can try one of the more ambitious recipes below. Either way, you'll feel like you're in the tropics… even if you're stuck in the city.
