Usquaebach Scotch – “King of Blended Whisky”

With a name derived from the ancient Gaelic phrase ‘usage beatha’ (or ‘the water of life’), Usquaebach literally translates to ‘whisky’. Dating back to the 1700's (the name was trademarked in 1877) Usquaebach was born with blends that were created to focus on purity, elegance, and refinement. Their master blenders only use the finest malts and grains from Scotlands most trusted and respected distillers which is how Usquaebach has earned the title of "King of Blended Whisky". 
Brief History
1500's - The word “uisge beatha” is popular in Gaelic vernacular to mean “water of life.” It describes the potent liquor distilled from grains.
1791 - “Usquaebach” is immortalized by the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns, in his poem Tom O’Shanter: “Wi Usquaebach we’ll face the de’il”
1877 - Ross & Cameron (spirit merchants) establishes the first trademark for “The Usquaebach.”
1926 - Following the death of Donald Cameron of Ross & Cameron, the Usquaebach trademark is passed along to William Grigor & Sons (Bowmore Distillery).
1969 - Twelve Stone Flagons Ltd., an American company owned by Stanley Stankiwicz, purchases the trademark and begins to distribute Usquaebach in the famous flagon in which it is still sold today.
1969 - Usquaebach’s “Old Rare” is served at President Richard Nixon’s White House Inaugural Dinner
1989 - The “Old Rare” is again selected to be poured at President George H.W. Bush’s White House Inaugural Dinner – a testament to the whisky’s superior quality and character.
2005 - Cobalt Brands becomes the new, proud owners of the Usquaebach trademark and continue to distribute the brand throughout the United States and the world.
Old-Rare Superior Blended Flagon
Luminous gold in color, the Old-Rare has huge, fresh aromatics
consisting of pepper, caramel, and dark chocolate. With a complex multi-layered flavors of pepper, coffee, and sherry this whisky is bold and smooth. Old-Rare has an unpredictable finish that is long and intense where it starts out sweet then morphs into the spice.
15 Years Old Blended Scotch Whisky
Deep amber in color, the 15 Year Old Scotch has a nose of mashed
fruit, raisins, and pineapple. With a full-bodied palate of savory sweetness with impressions of caramel, apricot, and nutmeg. A long and well-balanced finish of sweet sherry and spice notes gives the 15 Year Old Scotch its dynamics.
Reserve Premium Blended Scotch Whisky
Reserve Premium is fresh, floral with sweet hints of vanilla that
strike the nose. The palate is smooth with round toffee, mellow spice, honeyed sherry, and light citrus which is the result of blended whiskys of 16, 17, and 18 year old whisky. With an elegant finish of light smoke.
Recipes
Usquaebach Bobby Burns 
2 oz Usquaebach Reserve 1/2 oz (quality) sweet vermouth (L a Quintinye Vermouth Royal) 1/2 oz DOM Benedictine Dash of Aromatic bitters Lemon Twist for garnish
Fill rocks glass with one large ice cube (or serve up in a cocktail coupe). Add all ingredients to a mixing glass, and stir until very cold. Strain into your preferred glass. Rim the glass with lemon twist, and drop into drink to serve.
Usquaebach Summer Smuggler 
1 oz Usquebach Reserve 1 oz Contrato Bianco (or Lillet Blanc) 1 oz (quality) dry vermouth (L a Quintinye Vermouth Royal) Dash of orange bitters Lemon twist for garnish
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass, and stir until very cold. Strain into a cocktail coupe. Rim the glass with the lemon twist, drop into the drink and serve
Highlands Redhead
2 oz. Usquaebach Premium Blended 1 oz. Amaro Lucano 2 dashes of orange bitters Orange peel for garnish
Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into rocks glass and garnish with orange peel.
