Highland / Speyside

I always wondered about the differences between aged liqueurs. Let’s drink to know more!

Me and my friends Rafael and Andrews sampled three glasses of single malt, no blind tasting this time, here are the results:

Glenmorangie – Original

  • Smells like ripe pear, with a little oak
  • Although taste like fresh fruit, pear and smoke
  • Get down with a smoky touch and faints leaving honey taste
  • Very delicate
  •  4/5

Cardhu 12

  • Fresh pear smell with hints of vanilla and grape seeds
  • Less smokey, getting citrus-y with dried fruits complexity
  • Pleasant peachy finish along with smokiness
  • More complex
  • 4.5/5

Macallan – Select Oak

  • Remember Port wine on the nose, along with red fruits and oak
  • Couldn’t get more than berries and strong oak notes
  • Smoke with red berries
  • Very Complex
  • 5/5

What about you, have you drank those goods yet? What you think about them?

Hope you enjoy!
