We love classic cocktails like the margarita, but sometimes we need to spice things up a bit and take one of those classics and shape them like Michelangelo shaped marble into something a bit more interesting. I give you the Tikirita, it combines some of the best ingredients of the margarita with some tiki staples to give you a cocktail that's as good on a beach in Hawaii as it is on your porch after a long summers day.

About the Tikirita

It takes your classic ingredients of a margarita, tequila, lime and salt, and combine them with some of your typical tiki drink ingredients to give you one awesome twist on the classic margarita.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz of blanco Tequila - we prefer Casamigos

  • 1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup - Almond Syrup is about the same thing

  • 1/2 oz Agave nectar

  • 1 oz Orange Curacao

  • 1 oz lime juice

  • Crushed ice

  • Optional - black Hawaiian volcanic sea salt

  • Garnish - lime, pineapple, and a cherry
