Two readers love this post.
I have no idea whether this recipe already exists but since I am green to mixology, i did what I usually do when it's time to make dinner for the family.
I opened the liquor cabinet, and said, "Hmm, what can I imagine that would taste good together, has some complexity of flavor, and is fresh?
This one needs a name. My friends have suggested: OrangeRaid, A Hampton Sunrise, The Clemson, but my favorite is "Oh My Darling..."(thanks Kirsty!)
2 oz. New Amsterdam Peach vodka
3/4oz Patron Orange liqueur
2 oz freshly squeezed Clementine juice
3 robust dashes of Angostura orange bitters
Splash of club soda
Orange twist
Combine ingredients except soda in a shaker, add ice, shake till chilled, strain into a chilled Marie Antoinette or a martini glass or favorite glass. Add a splash of club soda. Rim and garnish with an orange twist.
I also coated the glass with some Smirnoff while the glass chilled.
If you make it, I'd like to here comments as to the flavors, layers, complexity, etc.
