The White Negroni was another cocktail created out of necessity. British bartender, Wayne Collins, was in Bordeaux France and didn't have Campari and Sweet Vermouth on hand to make a classic Negroni. He substituted for French aperitifs, Suze Gentian liqueur and Lillet Blanc for a more subtly bitter and earthy Negroni.
The White Negroni is one of many great and easy to recreate cocktails featured in 3-Ingredient Cocktails by Robert Simonson.
Ingredients
- 30mL Plymouth Gin (1 oz)
- 30mL Lillet Blanc (1 oz)
- 30mL Suze Gentian Liqueur (1 oz)
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients into an old fashioned glass
- Add ice and stir
- Garnish with a twist of grapefruit
