Bartending started as a college gig for Dan, but it quickly transformed into his lifelong passion. He worked his way up to manage some of the most innovative bar programs in the Twin Cities where he was one of the first to start making bitters, syrups, mixers and tonics from scratch. Seeking speed without sacrificing quality or presentation, he started refining recipes for pre-bottled cocktails. At the same time, he found the energy to help start Joia All-Natural Soda, Joia Spirits and Easy & Oskey Bitters Kits. Dan’s childhood friend Jon Kreidler approached him about starting a distillery and Tattersall Distilling was born. At Tattersall, Dan lives out of a suitcase, leading the sales and consulting efforts across the country. When Dan's at the distillery, you'll find him in the lab or behind the bar, experimenting with new concepts for spirits and cocktails.
