DENVER, CO – Denver welcomes 50 of area’s most fascinating bacon-built dishes and best-paired brews to the 2013 Denver Bacon and Beer Festival. Eat Boston with Denver off the Wagon is producing the vice-worthy glutton gathering of pig and barley that draws bellies from all over the country. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the festival that happens on November 10th and historically speaking, you might want to jump on those tickets before it’s too late.

The Bacon and Beer festival, which originated in Boston, has now grown to a full-scale multi-day festival complete with Karaoke Harbor Cruises and fully inspired Art Show with Bacon and Beer. The most recent addition to the Bacon and Beer tour this past summer was San Francisco, which was warmly welcomed by the community known to be difficult break into. We sent our Industry San Francisco correspondents, Ryan Sherman and Beau Noonan to the festival to lend a hand and check it out- both of which mentioned it as being one of the coolest things that they had been a part of in the bay area culinary scene. Eat Boston creator and Bacon and Beer Festival founder Aaron Cohen mentioned that, “I always thought it would work in other cities based on the success of Boston, but I never really took the leap until Jossie suggested. “2013-08-25 21.41.22

Inspiring reaching new markets, Jossie Auerbach, a Boston native and local Denver foodie-savant first insisted that Aaron branch out. He shares, “Jossie suggested bringing Bacon and Beer to Denver and I sort of put it off for a few months, but she was pretty persistent about it, and eventually convinced me to give it a shot. “  The team has seen its share of interest from cities across the country and the brand continues to explode, spawning its share of copycat festivals and unofficial spinoffs. But who’s going to blame anybody for trying? It’s bacon and beer – and a festival of it. Try they can, compete they can’t. bacon-wayne-Denver-print
