KINGSTON, Jamaica. — Earlier this month Founder and Owner of Hot Glen Road, John Vasicek, announced the company is preparing to launch its product in the Caribbean and Central America after signing a distribution deal with Velour Imports. Get Hot Tequila which first launched in the U.S. in 2017, has partnered with Houston based Velour Imports to distribute the world's first, and best, premium 100% agave, habanero-infused tequila reposado into Caribbean restaurant and bars.

“We are very happy Velour Imports will be taking the heat to the Caribbean and beyond,” said Vasicek. “Get Hot Tequila is a perfect vacation drink. It is new and exciting and will just add to the special vacation memories.” The deal will see the brand’s tequila available online and in several high-profile trade outlets in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and more.

Already a tremendous success in the states, Get Hot Tequila was awarded two medals for product quality and has been named Tastings.com top-rated infused tequila of all time by the San Diego International Spirits Competition & Beverage Tasting Institute. Connected through Instagram, Get Hot Tequila and Velour Imports inked their distribution deal in June, after months of emails and calls. Brooke Sinclair, Velour Imports President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “ This is a fascinating opportunity for us. Get Hot Tequila is one of the hottest trends in tequila today - No lime, no salt needed. The habanero and tequila flavor profiles are perfectly paired, we’re excited to help them take the brand further.”

Get Hot Tequila ($34.95, 750-ml) is a handmade premium double-distilled tequila from the highlands of eastern Mexico. Only after it’s rested in Canadian Oak barrels for six months is the 40 percent alcohol-by-volume reposado infused with heat from habañero peppers. Vasicek relies on its relationship with a family-owned distillery in Jalisco to distill and barrel its 100% puro reposado. “We wanted to get certain flavor we knew consumers would like,” said Vasicek.

Discussing brand goals of building an international following, company heads spoke by email and phone in March and have yet to meet in person. “We are excited to work with a brand and founder who believes the most rewarding work is work you’re passionate about,” said Sinclair.
