One of my first jobs as a bartender I was given one free day a week in order to brush up on my wine and beer skills as well as to create cocktails for the patrons. One one my favorite cocktails to make(and best selling) was called a Pink Agave. Being short of a few tools like a muddler I had to get fancy and break a few rules. It starts out with 3 mint leaves in the bottom of your glass, drizzle a bit of simple syrup and throw on a few ice cube (enough to reach the middle of your glass). Now comes the Liquid fun; you want to put 2oz of cranberry juice, 1oz of orange juice and the reason for the name 1.5oz of tequila on top of that. Throw it into your Boston shaker and shake well 3-5 times. Take your chilled martini glass and rim it with lime and sugar. double strain your Pink Agave into your freshly rimmed glass and place a mint sprig on top for decoration. Now you have a summer tequila cocktail
- Lime wedge
- Sugar
- 2oz Cranberry juice
- 1oz Orange juice
- Simple syrup
- Mint leaves
- 1.5oz tequila
- Mint sprig
