"Nature. Solitude. Quiet...That's what I really like."

Maybe not the list of interests you'd expect from The Most Interesting Man in the World, but that's exactly how veteran character actor Jonathan Goldsmith describes his life at age 75.

Despite a half-century career with roles spanning everything from MacGyver and CHiPs to Knots Landing and Dallas, Goldsmith is best known today as the face of Dos Equis' breakaway beer-ad success: The Most Interesting Man in the World.

With understated masculinity and a lilting baritone modeled after his close friend and sailing partner Fernando Lamas, the ads show Goldsmith doing everything from ice fishing to sword fighting, with voiceover narration that would put Chuck Norris to shame ("the last time he flirted with danger, danger got clingy").
