When it comes to tequila, like scotch, people have their own opinions on what they like and what they do not like. For the most part, no one will change their mind on their favorite brands, which is fine and I get it. But there our a lot of tequilas out there that put in the work that produce an excellent quality product that you may or may not of heard of. I have put together a list of 10 tequilas that I feel like are the best in quality and taste that you can pick up at your local store. These are in no particular order at all, let me repeat, these are in NO PARTICULAR ORDER.

Don Julio 1942

• Color: Golden Amber Hue
• Nose: Rich Caramel and Chocolate
• Taste: Oaky, Vanilla, Roasted Agave
• Finish: Lingering Oak and Rich Vanilla
• Best Served: Snifter

Milagro Unico II

• Color: Brilliant, Pale Straw
• Nose: Roasted Agave, Vanilla, Mint, Oak
• Taste: Earthy, Roasted Agave, Hint of Honey, Mint and Anise
• Finish: Long Warm Spice, Chocolate, Vanilla and Oak

Herradura Reposado

• Color: Rich Amber, Shades of Copper
• Nose: Anise, Fruit, Spice and Cooked Agave

Casa Noble Crystal (Blanco)

Gran Patron Platinum

• Color: Crystal Clear

Ocho Single Barrel Anejo

• Color: Very Light Amber
• Nose: Black Pepper and Vanilla
• Taste: Roasted Agave, Sweet Vanilla, Nutmeg
• Finish: Vanilla and Smooth Chocolate
• Best Served: Snifter or with One Cube of Ice

Cuervo Reserva de la Familia

• Color: Dark Amber Hue
• Nose: Oak, Almonds, Apple, Olives and Cinnamon
• Taste: Rich Oak, Almond, Apples, Cinnamon

Tenoch Reposado

• Color: Dark Caramel
• Nose: Roasted Herbs and Heavy Vanilla
• Taste: Pepper with Sweet Caramel, Herbal Notes

Sauza Hornitos Reposado

• Color: Light Straw Yellow
• Nose: Light Bouquet with Sea Salt, Agave
• Taste: Black Pepper, Green Peppers, Bitter Wax

Qui Tequila Clear Anejo

Unless you are an avid tequila aficionado, there may be some tequilas on this list that you have never heard of. I urge you to try something new in the world of tequila, you may like them or you may not, but this should give you some excellent examples of extremely high quality tequilas.
